A. J. Vergara has had a long connection with the Daly City Dolphins, where he was a team member for eight years. He also swam at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, where his favorite events were the 200 Individual Medley, 100 butterfly, and 100 backstroke. He has been a pre-competition instructor for nine years as well as an age group coach for three years. Since 2003 he hs been head coach of Westmoor High School’s Swim Team. dalycitydolphins.org
