Asa Phillip (Ace) Borger (April 12, 1888 - August 31, 1934), town builder, was born to Phillip and Minnie Ann (West) Borger on a family farm near Carthage, Missouri. His father was a veterinarian and died when Borger was just six years old, and Borger and his siblings were raised by their mother and grandmothers.
