Arnold Stephen Jacobs, Jr., commonly called A.J. Jacobs is an American journalist and author. Jacobs was born in New York City to lawyer Arnold Jacobs Sr. and Ellen Kheel. He has one sister, Beryl Jacobs. Jacobs studied philosophy at Brown University.
