Albert Cardozo
Albert Jacob Cardozo was born on December 21, 1828 in Philadelphia, PA, and died on November 8, 1885 in New York City. Albert began practicing law in 1849. He became a justice of the Supreme Court of New York (the state's general trial court) until he was implicated in a Tammany Hall judicial corruption scandal, sparked by the Erie Railway takeover wars, in 1868.
