Alex Blake is a post bop jazz bass guitarist who began his career with Sun Ra in his band Arkestra. He has since established himself as a successful recording artist as leader of his quintet. His most recognizable recording was a live performance compilation released by Bubble Core Records in 2000 titled "Now Is the Time: Live at the Knitting Factory".
