Alex Smith (born May 22, 1982) in Nassau, Bahamas is an NFL tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was drafted in the 3rd round, pick #71 in the 2005 NFL Draft. He attended Stanford University and is also commonly confused with Alex Smith, the quarterback from the University of Utah who was drafted #1 overall in 2005.
