Alex Williams (born November 1961 in Manchester) was an English football goalkeeper. A product of the Manchester City youth scheme, he made his first team debut in the 1980-81 season, becoming the first black goalkeeper to play in the top division of English football. Succeeding Joe Corrigan in the City goal, he made a total of 125 appearances in six years, including two consecutive seasons where he played every match.
