Ali Ardashir Larijani is an Iranian politician, and the current secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. He was appointed to this position by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on August 15, 2005 replacing Hassan Rowhani. He is one of the two representatives of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei to the council. In his post as secretary he effectively functions as the top negotiator on issues of national security, including Iran's nuclear program. Wikipedia
