General Álvaro Obregón Salido was President of Mexico from 1920 to 1924. Born in "Hacienda de Siquisiva", in Navojoa, Sonora, to an Irish-Mexican ranching family, he entered politics in 1911 with his election as mayor of the town of Huatabampo.
