He took over as a starter for Sterling Henton in the 1989 SEC game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. He set numerous Tennessee and SEC passing records, most of them broken by his later successor at Tennessee, Peyton Manning. He was also drafted to play baseball with the Atlanta Braves. Wikipedia
