Augusto Pestana was a Brazilian engineer and politician. He was born in Rio de Janeiro and received his education there graduating from the "Escola Politécnica do Rio de Janeiro" as a civil engineer. After several years working as a specialist in railroad engineering in the Rio Grande do Sul region, he became involved in politics.
