Barney Rock is an Irish gaelic footballer and played Gaelic Football for Dublin from 1979 - 1991. He played for Ballymun Kickhams in north County Dublin. Rock is regarded as being one of the best players to play for Dublin and is considered a legend among the Dublin fans. Rock received All Stars three years in a row from 1983, when Dublin won the All-Ireland, to 1985. Rock played no. 10 for Dublin the first ever compromise rules game against Australia in 1984.
