Barry Penner is British Columbia's Minister of Environment and Minister responsible for Water Stewardship and Sustainable Communities. He is also British Columbia Liberal MLA for Chilliwack-Kent and the government's Deputy House Leader. Born in Kitimat, Penner was first elected an MLA in 1996 and has been re-elected in 2001 and 2005 with some of the highest margins of victory in the province.
