Bettsey L. Barhorst was appointed president of Madison Area Technical College, Madison, Wisconsin, in November 2004. Before beginning her tenure at MATC, she served as president of Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa and prior to that, she served as a faculty member, Director of QUEST Program, Chair of English and Foreign Languages, Executive Assistant to the President, and Vice President of Planning and Information Services at Illinois Central College. oakton.edu
