Brooks Laich (pronounced "LIKE"; born June 23, 1983) is a Canadian ice hockey player with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. Laich was born in Wawota, Saskatchewan in 1983. In 2000-01, he was playing for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the Western Hockey League. Scouting reports noted that he was a steady point scorer who was also prepared to work in a defensive role but he needed to work to develop his body to meet the demands of the NHL. Wikipedia
