Edward Bruce Tinsley (born 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American cartoonist, best known for his conservative comic strip "Mallard Fillmore". Bruce Tinsley attended Indiana University with a degree in government. He then worked for various newspapers as a reporter. He began his cartoon career as an editorial cartoonist for The Daily Progress in the 1980s. While a cartoonist there, he was asked to create a character for the paper's entertainment section.
