Bruny Surin is a former Canadian athlete, winner of gold medal in 4x100 m relay at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Surin was born in Cap-Haïtien, Haïti, and moved to Canada with his family in 1975. Surin made his debut at the major international championships at the 1987 Pan-American Games, where he was fifteenth in a long jump.
