About C. K. Williams

C. K. Williams (b. November 4 1936, Newark, New Jersey) is an American poet. He graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, New Jersey, and received his higher education at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his career as a poet in the early 1960s. "Flesh and Blood" won the National Book Critics Circle Award. "Repair" (1999) was a National Book Award finalist and won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
