Chaim Berlin (Hebrew: חיים ברלין) was an Orthodox rabbi and chief rabbi of Moscow from 1865. He was the son of Rabbi Naftali Zvi Yehuda Berlin, and his younger half-brother (from his father's second marriage) was Rabbi Meir Bar-Ilan (choosing "Bar-Ilan" as the Hebraized version of "Berlin"). From 1889-1892 he lived in Volozhin, where he was a head of a rabbinical court. Wikipedia
