Charles Michel de Langlade was a Great Lakes fur-trader of French and Odawa heritage. His father was Augustin Langlade; his mother was a sister of Odawa war chief Nissowaquet. In 1752, Charles Langlade led the raid on Pickawillany, which paved the way for the French and Indian War.
