Charles Alexander Moose (born 1953 in New York, New York) served as the 15th Montgomery County, Maryland, Police Chief from August 2, 1999, to June 18, 2003, when he resigned to write a book about the Beltway sniper attacks that occurred during his time as Montgomery County Police Chief.
