Chauncey Fitch Cleveland (February 16, 1799 - June 6, 1887) was a United States Representative and Governor of Connecticut. Born in Canterbury, Connecticut, he attended the common schools and taught school from the age of fifteen to twenty. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1819 and commenced practice in Hampton.
