About Chester Borrows

Kerry James "Chester" Borrows (b. June 20th, 1957) is a New Zealand politician. Borrows initially worked as a police officer, and later gained an LLB from Victoria University of Wellington in a record time, 2 years and 14 days. He was admitted to the bar in 2002, and worked as a corporate lawyer in Hawera. In the 2005 election, Borrows stood as the National Party's candidate for seat of Whanganui, and was successful, defeating the incumbent Jill Pettis of the Labour Party.
