Chris Holland (born 11 September 1975 in Whalley, Lancashire) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Southport, having joined in 2007 from Boston United. He started his career at Preston North End, making just one league appearance before signing for Newcastle United. He won the first of his England under-21 caps while at Newcastle, but an eye injury hindered his progress and he joined Birmingham City on loan in 1996. Wikipedia
