Charles A. "Chuck" Taylor (January 24, 1920 - May 7, 1994) was an American college football coach at Stanford from 1951 to 1957. During his tenure, he compiled a 40-29-2 record and led the Indians to the Rose Bowl his first season. Taylor was named Coach of the Year that year. Taylor's football playing days were also at Stanford, where he was an all-American at guard. Taylor played in Stanford's 1941 Rose Bowl victory over Nebraska. Wikipedia
