Dale Hamer was an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) on two occasions, from 1978 to 1994 and from 1996 to 2001. During his 23 seasons in the NFL, Hamer was assigned to officiate in two Super Bowls as a head linesman, Super Bowl XVII in 1983 and Super Bowl XXII in 1988 and was an alternate referee in Super Bowl XXVII in 1993.
