Damian Bugg, AM, QC, is the current Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions, a position he has held since 2 August 1999. Prior to his elevation, he was the Tasmanian Director of Public Prosecutions from July 1986 to 1999. In 2005, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to the law.
