Daria Halprin is an American psychologist, author, dancer, and actress known primarily for her naturalistic performances in three films of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s that captured the turbulent spirit of those times. Born on December 30, 1947, Daria Halprin grew up in the Bay Area, the daughter of San Francisco-based choreographer Anna Halprin, who, in the 1950s, was one of the Western pioneers of using dance as a healing art.
