He usually accompanies band mate and fellow guitarist Kris Roberts with power chord laden riffs while Kris tends to play lead guitar, although it is unknown whether this is due to Darran preferring to play rhythm guitar or that Kris writes the lead parts due to a natural writing style in the band.
