David Backes (born May 1 1984 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. Backes played college hockey at Minnesota State University, Mankato until being called up to play for St. Louis's minor league team the Peoria Rivermen in the 2005-06 season. Wikipedia
