David A. Dodge, Ph.D (born 1943) is the current Governor of the Bank of Canada. He was appointed on February 1, 2001 for a termof seven years. As Governor, he is also chairman of the board of directors of the bank.David Dodge attended Ridley College, a private boarding school in St. Catharines before going on to Queen's University where he was awarded an Honours Degree in Economics. He received his Ph.D in Economics in 1972 from Princeton University.
