David Janssen was an American film and television actor who is best known for his starring role as Dr. Richard Kimble in the hit television series "The Fugitive" (1963–1967) with Barry Morse. Janssen was born David Harold Meyer in Naponee, Nebraska. Following his parents' divorce when he was 5, his mother took him to Los Angeles; she eventually married Eugene Janssen.
