David S. Weiss is an American comedy writer. He has written for Dennis Miller Live, among other television shows. In 2005, he ran unsuccessfully for the Writers Guild of America board of directors. Currently, he is Dennis Miller's radio sidekick on The Dennis Miller Show on talk radio, where he goes by the name "Salman," given to him by Miller due to Weiss' purported resemblance to Sir Salman Rushdie.
