Dean joined the Arvada Volunteer Fire Department in March of 1980, and was assigned to Station 2. He was elected to serve as a lieutenant in that station. He served in addition on the Executive Board and Fire Prevention Board until his retirement from the department in 1993, after 13 years of service. Dean enjoys camping, fishing, and big game hunting, and gets out into the open country whenever possible. arvadafire
