Dean Wendt is an American actor. He is best known for his voice acting of "Barney the Purple Dinosaur" on the hit children's show "Barney & Friends", from 2002 to present. Dean Wendt was a Disc jockey on Radio Disney from 1996 to 2001, but left the company in order to dedicate his time to voicing "Barney" after Bob West's decision to retire in 2002.
