Diego Alejandro "The Butcher" Bucchieri was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 23, 1977. However, he currently resides in Barcelona, Spain. He received his first skateboard when he was 10, and began skateboarding in 1987, looking up to legendary skateboarding figures like Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi.
