Dina Astita is an Indonesian teacher. She is a survivor of the Indian Ocean tsunami who coordinated efforts to restart schooling in her remote Sumatran town in 2004/2005. She is widely respected as an example of an ordinary person who can overcome tragedy and put a positive idea in motion.
