Dmitri Vladimirovich Kalinin (born July 22, 1980) is an ice hockey defenseman currently playing in the NHL for the Buffalo Sabres. He wears number 45 for the Buffalo Sabres. Kalinin was born in Chelyabinsk, Soviet Union (now Russia) as the youngest of two children. Both his parents and his brother are factory workers. Was introduced to hockey by a childhood friend.
