Doc Searls (born on July 29, 1947) is a widely-read blogger and a columnist and senior editor for "Linux Journal". He is often credited for originating the quote "Markets are conversations", which is also the first thesis in "The Cluetrain Manifesto", which he co-wrote in 1999 with David Weinberger, Christopher Locke and Rick Levine.
