Don Rich born Donalad Eugene Ulrich (August 15, 1941-July 17, 1974) was a country music guitarist who helped develop the Bakersfield sound in the early 1960s. Don started playing violin at age three. As a teenager growing up in Tumwater, Washington, he learned to play the guitar as well. During those years he caught the ear of Buck Owens, then a DJ and musician in Tacoma.
