Dudley Sargent DeGroot (born November 10, 1899 in Chicago, Illinois, died May 5, 1970) was an American athlete and coach and is best known as a football coach for the Washington Redskins. He competed successfully in many sports as an amateur and began his professional career as a collegiate coach. Dudley S.
