The title of Earl of Suffolk has been created several times in the Peerage of England, most recently in 1603 for Thomas Howard, 1st Baron Howard de Walden. Several times, it has also been a Dukedom. The third creation of the dukedom of Suffolk was for Henry Grey, 3rd Marquess of Dorset, in 1551. The Duke also held the title "Baron Ferrers of Groby" (1300). These titles became forfeit when the duke was attainted in 1554. Wikipedia
