Edward Thomas "Eddie" Butler (Born May 11 1957) is a former Welsh Rugby Union player, who won 16 caps for the Wales national team, between 1980 to 1984. He played as a No. 8. Though retired from the game, Eddie has written a weekly column in the Rugby Union section of The Observer Sport since 1991, as well as being a commentator live Rugby union matches with Brian Moore (also a former capped rugby player) on the BBC.
