Edwin "Ned" Stephenson, also erroneously called Edward, often Ned or Merry Ned, was wicket-keeper of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club in the 1850s and 1860s. He was born at Headford Street, Sheffield on 5 June 1832 and died at Tue Brook Asylum for Inebriates in Liverpool on 5 July 1898.
