Ellen Smith is a research staff member in the Environmental Sciences Division. She joined ORNL in 1982, having worked previously as a hydrogeologist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in the solid and hazardous waste regulatory program. She holds a B.A. in Geology (1974) from Carleton College (Minnesota) and an M.S. in Water Resources Management (1979) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. ornl.gov
