Elya Baskin (born 24 January 1951, Riga, Latvia) attended Moscow's prestigious Theatre and Variety Arts College. He won a Festival of Young Actors Award at the Moscow Comedy Theatre. He has build a considerable career in TV and movies, and is often cast as russian, due to his ancestry and accent.
