Sir Eric James Neal, AC, CVO (born 1924) was governor of South Australia from 22 July 1996 until 3 November 2001. He is the Chancellor of Flinders University. He was previously a successful businessman, and was the first person from the business community appointed to the post of governor in South Australia. Sir Eric was created a Knight Bachelor in 1982 and appointed a Companion in the Order of Australia in 1988 and a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order in 1992. Wikipedia
