Erle Palmer Halliburton and his wife established the New Method Oil Well Cementing Company in Oklahoma in 1919. This company would become known as Halliburton after 1960. He also designed the aluminum suitcases which are now manufactured by Zero Halliburton. Simultaneously, the Brown brothers, George (1898 - 1983) and Herman (1892 - 1962), partnered with their brother-in-law, Dan Root (d. 1929), to found Brown & Root in Texas. Wikipedia
