Ernst Zinner (2 February 1886 - 30 August 1970) was a German astronomer and noted historian of astronomy. He rediscovered the Comet Giacobini-Zinner, which had been previously discovered by Michel Giacobini in 1900. Zinner crater on the moon is named after him. Wikipedia
