Francis William Rice, 5th Baron Dynevor was a British clergyman and peer. He was the second son of the Reverend Edward Rice, Dean of Gloucester. The Dean was the second son of the 2nd Baroness Dynevor. Rice’s mother was Charlotte Lascelles, the bastard daughter of General Francis Lascelles. Rice was educated as Westminster School and matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 18 October 1822. He received a B.A. in 1826 and was awarded an M.A. in 1847.
